Introduction to Logic and Rhetoric

This class introduces students to foundational critical thinking and public speaking skills, creating the confidence and abilities necessary for higher-level rhetorical pursuits such as formal logic, debate, philosophy, and apologetics.

Students will learn how to persuasively use inductive and deductive logic, how to respond to flawed arguments, and how to detect bad reasoning. They will gain basic speech-writing skills (knowledge that helps with essay writing as well) and develop confidence as a public speaker.
